Christy Ring Cup Round-up:Kerry defeated Down at Austin Stack Park, Tralee, on Saturday afternoon with Shane Brick scoring a personal tally of 15 points to help the home side to a 2-21 to 2-11 victory.

Kerry scored 2-4 in the opening 10 minutes of the game, Mike Conway and John Egan getting the goals.

Despite first-half goals from Eoin Clarke and Ciarán Coulter, Down were always playing catch-up as Kerry led by 2-10 to 2-4 at the interval.

Meanwhile, a 10-point haul from Billy White put Kildare on their way to a 0-24 to 1-11 victory over London in Clane.

London held a 1-9 to 0-8 advantage at half-time, Fergus McMahon scoring the visitors' goal.

Despite losing Richie Hoban to a red card, Kildare pulled away in the second half for an easy victory to ensure a semi-final place.

Carlow made it three wins when defeating Derry by 2-15 to 3-9 at Dr Cullen Park.

Goals from Derek McNicholas and Ronan Whelan set Westmeath up for a comprehensive 2-14 to 0-11 win over Mayo at Cusack Park. They must beat Kerry next weekend to book a place in the last four.
