COOLCULLEN trainer Jim Bolger continued his fine start to the Flat season when completing a 90 to 1 treble at Limerick yesterday with Ivory Reef, Premier Project (both ridden by Ted Durcan) and Ceannaire in the bumper.

Ivory Reef made virtually all to land the Limerick Frozen Food Distributors Limited Handicap before Premier Project, owned by international footballer Niall Quinn, got the verdict over the gambled on Sentosa Star in the Foynes Apprentice Maiden after a prolonged photo finish which took nearly 10 minutes to sort out.

Brave Fountain, justifying favouritism, defied a 4lb penalty for his snug Gowran Park success on Sunday with a two and a half length victory in the Shannon Handicap Hurdle.

Trevor Horgan, who partnered the Aidan O'Brien trained winner, completed a double in the Ballygeale Handicap Hurdle on Taits Clock formerly trained by Anthony Moloney and having his first run for new handler Donnie Hassett.

Austin Leahy saddled Beau Cyrano, carrying the colours of the Mallow based Hallmark Syndicate, to land the opening Adare Handicap under Wayne Smyth. "He was unlucky in running last time at Listowel but handles all types of ground and will go to Killarney next week for another flat race," said the winning trainer.

. Belfast jockey Pat McWilliams and the Co Antrim trained The Third Man scored a repeat course success when taking the Bangor Handicap Hurdle at Down Royal yesterday.

On St Patrick's Day, the pair had also been successful and the winner now heads to the Doncaster Sales next week.

Jockey Barry Murtagh, who finished third on Plough The Lea, was given a two day suspension from May 15th-16th for excessive use of the whip.

Barry Cash, who rode the runner up, Sigma Wireless, was later successful in the big race of the day, the Governors Cup Handicap Chase, on the Noel Meade trained Another Coq Hardi.

Another Cog Hardi edged clear of Pennybridge at the second last fence to go clear and win by seven lengths.
