Sligo Rovers 2 Drogheda United 2:SHANE BARRETT's two first-half goals kept Drogheda United's unbeaten run intact in a pulsating game at the Showgrounds last night.

Shane Barrett put Drogheda ahead in the 15th minute, drilling the ball low past Brush from 20 yards.

Sligo’s Raffaele Cretaro fired past Paul Skinner in the 20th minute to square the match.

The Sligo goalkeeper had to be alert again on 32 minutes as Jamie Duffy bore down on goal.

Conor O’Grady put the home side ahead in the 37th minute but Drogheda stepped up a gear, with James Chambers posing problems for an overworked home defence.

Shane Barrett brought the visitors level from the penalty spot on the stroke of half-time. Paul Crowley was taken down in the box as Danny Keohane and Danny Ventre struggled to clear the danger

Substitute Christopher Kelly put Raffaele Cretaro in on goal in the 74th minute as Sligo went in search of a late winner but Drogheda goalkeeper Paul Skinner brought off a superb save.
