Lermontov and Zentsov Street, in Group action last weekend, could be in line to make a quick reappearance alongside stable companion Aristotle in Saturday's Racing Post Trophy at Doncaster.

Aidan O'Brien originally left seven colts in the last Group One of the British season but has now narrowed it down to three, with Aristotle a definite runner. The Beresford Stakes winner, Lermontov, and the Dewhurst third, Zentsov Street, are possibles.

"Both horses came out of their weekend races very well and are possible runners. We will decide for definite later in the week," O'Brien said yesterday.

On the jumping front, last season's smart novice hurdler Colonel Yeager will probably miss this season after heat was discovered in one of his tendons. Trainer Martin Lynch described the injury as minor but no chances will be taken with the Cathal Ryan-owned gelding.
