Antrim certainly had reason to celebrate last Sunday. Their first football championship win in 18 years signalled wild celebrations at Casement Park in Belfast, and not even the thunder and lightning could dampen it.
Such was the joy, in fact, that most Antrim folk couldn't wait to head off for further celebrations. And in their haste, those responsible for locking up the stand forgot to check whether the media room was empty.
So when a trio of Dublin reporters emerged, tired and drained after their extensive works of prose, you can imagine their reaction when they found every exit in the stands locked. Cries for help were laughed off by those outside and for a while it appeared that dinner would be a raid on the unguarded tuck shop.
Eventually, the noise was heeded by a few souls still drinking in the ground's bar. Among them was Antrim manager Brian White, who seemed genuinely apologetic that our exit had been so amusingly delayed.
