Antrim 2 -13 Cavan1-8

ANTRIM SURGED to the top of Division Three by dint of a facile win over out-of-sorts hosts Cavan at Kingspan-Breffni Park.

Paddy Cunningham notched his side’s opening three points and two goals lit the fuse for a frenetic finish to the first half. Tomas McEntee fired home for Antrim before Raymond Galligan fisted a goal for Cavan to leave the sides tied at 1-6 apiece at the interval.

Five unanswered points in the third quarter put Antrim in control before Michael Magill’s goal sealed their deserved victory.
