Andre Agassi, currently 71st in the rankings, ended two years in the wilderness yesterday when he defeated world number-one Pete Sampras in straight-sets in the final of the $340,000-dollar ATP tournament in San Jose, California yesterday.
Agassi, who has only recently regained full match fitness scored a 6-2, 6-4 win.
