Admiralofthefleet has been clipped into 14 to 1 for Saturday's Coral-Eclipse Stakes after it emerged he will be the mount of Michael Kinane.
The big-race sponsors shortened up the three-year-old from 16 to 1 following the news Kinane will not be aboard last year's 2,000 Guineas hero George Washington.
Kinane has partnered the four-year-old in each of his last four starts but Séamus Heffernan will ride Aidan O'Brien's mercurial charge this time.
"When it comes to major races, Mick Kinane is one of the most popular riders with punters and I fully expect Admiralofthefleet to go off a single figure price on Saturday," said Coral spokesman Simon Clare. "We have laid 33s, 25s and 16s, and he is our worst result in the ante-post book."
George Washington was something of a surprise inclusion at the final declaration stage for the Group One contest.
O'Brien had indicated his star miler could bypass the 10-furlong event following the monsoon-like weather. However, Coral keep George Washington as the 4 to 1 second favourite, particularly as the bookmakers are now offering non-runner no-bet.
"Heffernan has already proved himself a top-class jockey in the making and the fact he has been given the mount on George Washington will make little material difference to his price if he takes his chance," added Clare.
O'Brien also has outsider Yellowstone and 16 to 1 Archipenko in the race and that pair will be ridden by Colm O'Donoghue and Fran Berry respectively.
Authorized, who is trained by Peter Chapple-Hyam, still dominates the market at 1-2 favourite with Coral. Last year's runner-up Notnowcato is a 5 to 1 chance for Michael Stoute while the eight-strong line-up is completed by Clive Brittain's outsider Kandidate and the Mark Johnston-trained Champery, who will act as pacemaker for Authorized.
Meanwhile, dual Classic winner Finsceal Beo heads the 17 possibles at the six-day stage for the UAE Equestrian And Racing Federation Falmouth Stakes at Newmarket next Wednesday.
Jim Bolger's English and Irish 1,000 Guineas heroine is one of three possibles from this country.
The other two are the John Oxx-trained Arch Swing, runner-up to Finsceal Beo at Newmarket, and Alexander Tango, trained by Tommy Stack.
Of the older fillies, Pam Sly is considering the race for last year's 1,000 Guineas victor Speciosa while also in the list is John Gosden's classy Nannina. Mick Channon is triple-handed with Flashy Wings, Majestic Roi and Sweet Lilly, as is Jeremy Noseda with Rahiyah, Sander Camillo and Simply Perfect. South Africa's Irridescence, trained by Mike De Kock, is on course for the mile feature. A high-quality entry is completed by Red Evie, Bahia Breeze, Yaqeen, Darrfonah and Heaven Sent.
Today's meetings at Beverley and Haydock will hinge upon 8am inspections while there are already doubts over two meetings, Leicester and Nottingham, tomorrow.
