Derry produced a solid second-half performance to win the McKenna Cup in an uninspiring final at Omagh last night.

Armagh suffered a setback when midfielder Jarlath Burns was forced to retire injured before the break. They were given a boost early in the second half when Paul McGrane scored a goal.

Johnny McBride popped up with two late points to give the title to Derry.
