Sir, - To carry Bill Stack's logic further, we should also shut shops and restrict public-house opening hours on Fridays to cater for our Islamic friends and on Saturdays for those of the Jewish persuasion. Just because the majority of this country is Roman Catholic, or at least claims to be, does not mean that we should force our religious traditions on those of other faiths.
