Sir, - If the readership of the RTE Guide is as "extremely loyal" as its editor Heather Parsons claims (April 13th) can she perhaps explain why, in the week of TV Now!'s launch, half-price vouchers for her magazine were sent to newsagents across Ireland while motorists visiting Statoil stations could get a free copy with £15 worth of petrol. TV Now!, nevertheless, clocked up sales of over 50,000 copies in its first week. Could this be the end of the knitting pattern as we know it? I think Bob Collins should be told. - Yours, etc.,
