A chara, - It is rather unfortunate that Mr Trimble seems to be spending most of his time blaming the IRA for his own delaying tactics in the implementation of the Good Friday Agreement. Bearing in mind that IRA guns have remained silent since the signing of this agreement, would not the First Minister be more usefully employed in dealing with the loyalist gangs who are pipe-bombing innocent Catholic families out of their homes each night?
But then again, his on-going anti-IRA rhetoric is sweet music to his hard-line party members, whose support is essential for his own survival as Orange/ Unionist supremo. - Is mise,
