Sir, – A rather one-sided conversation overheard on Tuesday on a 16 bus from the airport, at Harold’s Cross.
Tourist passenger: “Is All Hallows near here?” Bus driver: “Ah no, it’s away at the other side of town. Let’s see now, if you stay with me it’ll be more than an hour before you get there. You’d be better getting the next 16 heading back to the airport, you’ll be there in half an hour. Have you still got your tickets? Grand, this note will mean you won’t have to pay again. The next 16 is in about five minutes, get off at the Cat and Cage pub. I’ll radio the depot to tell the other driver to look out for you.” – Yours, etc,
