Madam, – When I phoned the Breast Check free phone number recently to ask when Breast Check was going to start in the Letterkenny catchment area I was informed that in fact it had started on October 18th last. One would think that family doctors such as myself would have been told so that we could inform our female clients.
But what is really annoying is that Breast Check started in the east of the country in the year 2000 and has taken a full 10 years to reach us in north west Donegal. Further proof that, as perceived, Donegal is the forgotten county. – Yours, etc,
