Sir, - The proposal by the Government in the forthcoming Finance Bill to tax the credit unions should be opposed by the Opposition and the Independent deputies in Dail Eireann.
The credit unions have been a great support for the low-paid, the pensioners and the unemployed citizens of this country. They have taken a lot of people out of the hands of the moneylenders.
