Sir, – As a child, I remember my mother taking me to a series of concerts designed to introduce children to music. Called “Music for Fun”, these concerts were performed at the National Concert Hall, where 25 years later she is now a board member.
The fact that the same mother previously gave of her time for free as a local representative (in an era when expenses for local authority members were not what they are now), should not preclude her from again voluntarily contributing to the civic life of this country. – Yours, etc,
