Sir, - I refer to your report (The Irish times, January 30th) on the demolition of a protected structure, part of the old St Anne's Hospital in Northbrook Road.
In our view the casual demolition of this protected building and the threat to carry out further demolition is totally unacceptable and joins the rape of many such buildings throughout Dublin and the country at large.
We have made our rejection of this type of contravention of recent planning acts and development plans known to Dublin Corporation. We demand that the developers, Park Development, restore the demolished building, No. 7, and make fully secure the remaining three buildings. - Yours, etc.,
Robert Mooney, Chairman, Upper Leeson Street Area Residents Association, Raglan Lane, Ballsbridge, Dublin 4.
