Sir, - I was impressed by the high moral tone of the letter from Sir Ivor Roberts, British Ambassador (July 21st), explaining UK policy with regard to Iraq. Perhaps he could explain his government's use of depleted-uranium nuclear weapons against the Iraqi people. Or will he pretend that the UK is not responsible for irradiating large areas of this planet? And isn't that the reason why we'll never see British or American troops invading Iraq? - Yours, etc.,
