Sir, - I appreciated your thoughtful Editorial of October 26th. A pause or an end to the bombing makes sense. The US needs to find a way to disengage from Afghanistan without losing too much face and the people of Afghanistan will, in time, deal with the Taliban. - Yours, etc.,
