Sir, - Contrary to C.P. Mac Cionna's proposal (July 9th) that the anti-Nice campaigns be forced to remove their posters, I would like to suggest that in the interest of the environment they be left where they are.
Since it seems we are going to have a repeat referendum on the same treaty within 18 months anyway, reusing the same posters will considerably reduce waste. Who says we don't have a national recycling programme? - Yours, etc.,
