Madam, – Both Alex Petkov and Edward Horgan seem horrified at the idea of a casino in Ireland (November 11th).
In particular, Mr Horgan abhors what he sees as our national disease of gambling. While I wouldn’t be keen on casinos, having visited Las Vegas, I do enjoy an occasional flutter on the horses.
However, I would lay a large wager that most people have lost more money in the biggest gambling institution of them all, the stock market.
