Sir, - As a taxpayer living in this litigious age, I wonder is it time we issued High Court proceedings against those who, because they "refrain" from answering questions asked by us, have caused us to pay out horrendous sums for tribunals? If they had been straight with us and their colleagues in the first place, we could have afforded medical care second to none, not to mention all the other projects to which our taxes are channelled, rather than paying for hours and hours of legal argument.
I gather that none of them are "men of straw" and therefore would be worth pursuing as defendants. - Yours, etc., Ann R. Barnes,
Doonsalla Park, Dun Laoghaire, Co Dublin.
