Sir, – In the course of an Editorial (September 4th) extolling the merits of a free vote for politicians, you wrote that I voted against my own Bill which I had proposed as minister for justice. This was incorrect and the facts could have been so easily checked.
You really should be more careful because a surprising number of people believe what they read in a newspaper. – Yours, etc,
