Madam, - We have often been led to believe that the standard of debate in the Seanad is higher than that in the Dáil. It seems to me, however, that the Leader of the Seanad, Mary O'Rourke, by her petulant use of the word "crap" and her admonition to Mr Brennan to "get his finger out" does little to enhance that reputation.
Her choice of such stable-boy and corner-boy language does not befit the Leader of the Seanad. - Yours, etc.,
