Madam, - Mary Immaculate College of Education in Limerick submitted a proposal regarding new building plans in 1999. The same year an exhibition centre was mooted for Punchestown - the difference being that Punchestown received approval within a few months and is now complete at the staggering cost of €14.8 million of public money, while we are still waiting.
Having come to the college in 2000 as a Bachelor of Education student I had high hopes of seeing the new building plans, promised to the college by the predecessors of the current Minister of Education, before my term as student ended. This has not happened - despite several assurances by Minister Michael Woods.

Madam, - May I suggest the following name change to those wonderful, hard-working people in Our Lady's Hospital for Sick Children in Crumlin? Our Lady's Hospital For Sick Horses. It's bound to be good for €15 million or so in Mr McCreevy's next Budget. - Yours, etc.,
