Sir, - Some highlights, for me, of Maire Geoghegan Quinn's less than dazzling debut on Live Line recently. Her schoolteacher politician's penchant for the peremptory, imperious verbal rap on the knuckles, so arbitrarily ending conversations with callers: And the caller who, despite her invitation to "call me Maire", persisted in addressing her as "Minister".
And just one question: will Maire instruct her political paymasters to deduct a week's wages from her next Dail salary cheque, having been amply paid by RTE for her week's broadcasting? Or will she consider the occasion an acceptable piece of double jobbing? - Yours, etc.,
