Madam, – May I suggest that for even-handedness before further action is taken in relation to Ivor Calley’s expenses that the expenses submissions of all TDs and senators since 2000, say, be similarly checked for irregularities? – Yours, etc,
Madam, – I was interested to read the suggestion (August 6th) of the inauguration of the Ivor Callely Summer School in Kilcrohane, west Cork. I presume it goes without saying that the principal of the school would commute daily from his home in Dublin, while claiming the requisite travel expenses. – Yours, etc,
Madam, – Mary Hanafin says she is embarrassed by the saga surrounding her Fianna Fáil colleague Ivor Callely, and that he is discrediting the whole of the political profession.
As a member of a Government which has nearly bankrupted our country, and where unemployment is at one of the highest levels in the developed world, surely she is beyond embarrassment. – Yours, etc,
