Sir, - On Saturday, April 13th of this year a meeting was held in Leopardstown in connection with the proposed new cure for Fredreich's Ataxia. There were many questions from the floor plus some written ones. Some written questions or queries weren't answered, due, presumedly, to time.

The following questions (or queries) weren't answered directly. I hereby submit those questions through your increasingly popular medium.

(1) Will this treatment benefit those already established for upwards of 10 years with Fredreich's Ataxia? (2) Is there any guarantee or knowledge that the effected gene now discovered may have spread to other genes, which may only be as yet in their infancy? (3) Whatever medication is prescribed eventually, will it have to be taken regularly for the remainder of the victim's lifetime? - Yours, etc.,

Sallynoggin Road,
