Sir, – Well done to Colm Keena (Business Opinion, August 27th) for highlighting the reality of the Irish corporate tax regime.
No public policy should be so sacrosanct that we cannot even debate it.
Even when the Obama campaign called Ireland a tax haven recently, no discussion was stirred.
Given the political winds blowing in Washington and Brussels, the first debate should be whether the policy is sustainable. And if not, what then? – Yours, etc,
