Sir, - As a speech and drama teacher I am always amazed at the inability of some RT╔ presenters to pronounce the consonant "th" correctly.
Instead we end up with "Arsenal four, Chelsea tree". Why is it that this most basic of vocal sounds in the English tongue is so severely punished by the bulk of sports and news presenters?
Surely some simple speech coaching would alleviate the problem. - Yours, etc.,
