Madam, – During one of my numerous public-sector coffee breaks I took the time to enjoy Newton Emerson’s piece on the merits of a strike – “The end of the world is nigh if CPSU goes on one-day strike” (Newton’s Optic, Opinion, February 11th), which particularly appealed to my non-rational female mind.
