Dublin Traffic

Sir, - While living in San Francisco, I noticed an interesting solution to the city's traffic problems during the morning and evening rush hours.

The remedy was to use the majority of traffic lanes for incoming traffic in the morning and outgoing in the evening. This was achieved with the help of automatic lights fixed in place along the lanes.

Although this solution may not be of benefit on all our commuter routes, I believe it could work on some of our main arteries. - Yours, etc.
