Sir, - Your Editorial on "Docklands Renewal" (June 4th) remarked on the absence of members of the new Dublin Docklands Authority from the launch of the document "Towards a Draft Master Plan" by the Riverrun Consortium.
As a nominee of the City Council to the Docklands Council I was surprised to read of the launch in the pages of The Irish Times. Those of us who are committed to the revival and renewal of the Docklands area and who are known to have been nominated to the Docklands Council were not even told of the launch.
I hope that omission is not a sign of an intended sidelining of the council before work even commences. The future of the Docklands and the possibilities for transforming this great city are too great to allow that to happen and I for one will not allow it.
Yours, etc.,
Beech Hill Drive,
Donnybrook,
Dublin 4.
