A chara, - I cannot but question your editorial judgment in allowing a picture of the victims' clothes to appear on the front page (July 20th). What purpose did this serve? Surely only to increase the grief of the family and friends. Please be more considerate in the future and refrain from the sensationalism that your competitors use to sell their "news" papers. I've trusted The Irish Times in the past to be professional in its news coverage and I'd hate to think that you'd lower your standards. - Yours, etc.,
