Sir, - In your letters page (April 25th) Mr Gerard Kenny writes under the heading "Demented Women" - "Does anyone in our tight lipped society know how many women were executed?"
As far as I am aware no female was executed in Ireland, North or South, since the inception of the State. A number of women were convicted of murder and sentenced to death, but none were executed since that date. - Yours, etc.,
