Sir, - The statement (The Irish Times, October 1st) that "the death of Princess Diana generated more newspaper coverage in Britain than even the most dramatic events of the second World War" is a little silly when one remembers that newspapers in Britain during the war produced little news because of censorship, shortage of newsprint and lack of staff. - Yours, etc.,
