Sir, - The UK newspapers are trumpeting the triumph of a "British play", namely A Doll's House, in the Tony Awards. The Irish Times (June 4th) praises Frank McGuinness, "the latest Irish playwright to hit the big time on the New York Stage" with his adaptation of A Doll's House. A certain Henrik Ibsen, who wrote A Doll's House, is nowhere mentioned. So what about a round of applause for "A Norwegian triumph in the Tony Awards"? - Yours, etc.,
