Madam, - What a fantastic game of Gaelic football between Dublin and Tyrone last Saturday! As one of the Tyrone fans, however, I was amazed to read (Locker Room, August 15th) that Tom Humphries found us "a frighteningly intense and largely humourless bunch". What a ridiculous comment to make about a fair percentage of 78,514 people!
I enjoyed every minute of the match. Maybe Tom Humphries met a few Tyrone fans who were worried about how much it was going to cost them to have their cars unclamped when the match was over. - Yours, etc,
