Madam, – As we all take pride in the individual achievements of our respective counties and we all like a bit of competition, might I suggest a prize be offered for the cleanest county in Ireland, starting this year? And perhaps the one with the fewest potholes should get a bonus? Before all our money goes into the re-greening of our countryside, surely a fund of a €100,000 could be offered to some hard-pressed county council? – Yours, etc,
