Madam, - Archbishop Brady says that people would be better giving their money to those in need rather than wasting it trying to look into the future (The irish Times, August 23rd).
True enough; but then I see on the same page of that edition that Dublin is contemplating spending at least €1.6 million on Antony Gormley's unravelled-knitting figure.
Without benefit of astrology or Tarot cards I can see that there would be many better uses for that amount of money around Dublin city in the future. - Yours, etc,
