Sir, - Congratulations to RT╔ for showing the superb series of programmes produced by Michael and Ethna Viney, depicting their self-sufficient, wholesome, alternative lifestyle in the shadow of Croagh Patrick.
In these days, when vast sections of the media are dumbing down to pander to the lowest elements of human nature, it is uplifting to watch such programmes, in which the reverence for nature is almost spiritual.
If RT╔ would treat us to more programmes of this quality and reduce the amount of imported American dross on our screens, I, for one, would not mind paying a little more for my television licence. - Yours, etc.,
