Sir, - Can anyone explain to, me why it is necessary to dub a neutral Irish accent over an English one on certain TV advertisements?

On Sunday night, "Ronseal - it does exactly what it says on the tin" was an example. Is it to stop our culture being invaded by nasty English tones, or a form of work for underemployed actors (in which case, I approve)? If it is the former, then at least half RTE's output would have to be changed.

I know this is a silly season letter but I had to mention it. Cheers (as they say in the UK). - Yours, etc.,
