Sir, – One doubts Gary Doyle’s lending institution (January 12th) has been at pains to point out to him that he is not the legal owner of his home until the final payment has been made, given that it is incorrect. Mr Doyle will find that while the lending institution has a legal interest in the property as the mortgage has been secured against it, he is and will remain the “legal owner” until such time as he sells it. – Yours, etc,
