An article in last Wednesday’s edition, concerning costs incurred over the planning hearing for the proposed national Children’s Hospital, wrongly suggested that the Children’s Medical and Research Foundation had incurred costs of €72,000 on the hearing.
The foundation has not been involved nor made representations to An Bord Pleanála nor has it incurred nor sought any recourse in relation to costs from the planning proposal for the hospital. Tony Barry was stated in the article to be chairman of the foundation. In fact, he stepped down as chairman in December 2009 and as a director a year later.
