The front page Digest yesterday stated incorrectly that Mr Michael Lowry had been cautioned by the Moriarty tribunal on Wednesday that any admissions he made could be used against him in a criminal prosecution. In fact, as reported on page four, the tribunal was told by its counsel, Mr Jerry Healy, that Mr Lowry had been cautioned by the Revenue Commissioners in relation to a possible Revenue prosecution.
In last Monday's report from the St Patrick's Day parade in New York, it was stated that, at a demonstration by the Irish Lesbian and Gay Organisation (ILGO), three members had been arrested when they attempted to chain themselves to a railing. A spokeswoman states that the three people arrested were not members of ILGO.
The Government's decision to privatise air/sea rescue in the south-east was announced in the Dail on Wednesday by the Minister of State for the Marine, Mr Hugh Byrne, and not the Minister for the Marine, Mr Fahey, as stated in yesterday's editions.
