The IFA Consumer Electronics Unlimited exhibition at the Berlin Funkturm (Radio Tower) will feature 1,212 exhibitors until September 5th.
Exhibitors come from 32 different countries, with a dramatic rise in the number of non-European representatives as Chinese, Japanese and US exhibitors, among others, showcase their products.
It is anticipated that the show will generate sales of consumer electronics to the value of €62.3 billion in the top ten European electronic consumer countries. Sales in Germany alone are expected to rise by 2 per cent to a total of €23 billion.
The expo, which was kicked off by singer Pink in concert last night, also includes over 70 shows and concerts over the next four days.
