A woman was remanded in custody with consent to bail yesterday after she was charged in connection with the discovery of two pipe bombs at her home in Dublin.
Laura Creighton (22), with an address at Barry Park, Finglas West, was arrested during a house search by the Finglas Drugs Unit on Friday when gardaí seized explosives, a shotgun and drugs with a street value of €10,000.
Ms Creighton appeared before Dublin District Court charged with two counts of possession of cocaine and cannabis for sale or supply and one count of firearms possession. She was also charged with two counts of possession of pipe bombs.
Fiona Brennan, solicitor for Ms Creighton, asked that the application for bail should be no more than €3,000. Ms Brennan said that Ms Creighton was single and lived in the family home with her father and they were both unemployed.
