An 18-year-old woman has been charged in connection with the murder of a delivery man in Derry city.

Emmett Shiels, a 22-year-old pizza delivery man, was murdered in Derry's Creggan area last week after an altercation with masked men, thought to be dissident republicans, who had been set to attack somebody
else.

The woman will face a charge of attempting to pervert the course of justice when she appears at the city's magistrate's court this morning.

Detectives are continuing to question three men over the murder. Their periods of detention were extended yesterday.

A 16-year-old girl, arrested in Derry yesterday evening, remains in custody.

Police arrested two men, aged 19 and 32, in connection with Mr Shiels' death last week. Both were later freed without charge.
