London - The outspoken Tory MP, Ms Ann Widdecombe, has lost her column in the Sunday Express. The shadow home secretary insisted last night the split had not been acrimonious.
However, Labour claimed she had undermined her party leader, Mr William Hague, with her high profile offensives against Government policy. The Education Secretary, Mr David Blunkett, said: "If I were William Hague I'd be feeling pretty nervous."
