A home in the Waterside area of Derry was damaged by a petrol bomb early yesterday morning. Ms Christine Holmes (39) and her 16-year-old daughter Tammy escaped injury when the device exploded after it was thrown through a window into their Bond's Hill home just before 6 a.m.

An RUC spokesman said the attack was not believed to be sectarian.
